(Something Happens When You Pray For Others)

TO THE BIBLE 1 Timothy 2:1Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)
“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,

A young girl was taken to a miracle service. She had juvenile arthritis and could only move around in a wheelchair. No other part of her body could move except for her neck. At the meeting, the people around her began to pray for her. As they interceded for her, she was inspired to make an effort to get up. A lady, who was amongst those praying, encouraged her, saying, “Don’t be afraid, go ahead and move your hands and legs. The Lord has healed you.”

It was difficult for her to move at first, but the faith of those who prayed for her encouraged her and she took her first step. When she did, they all rejoiced and praised God for her. She was even more encouraged, and she took another step, and then more steps followed. Right before their eyes, she began to run around the room! The young girl got her miracle because the believers around her were moved by compassion to pray for her.

You can do the same today. There’s so much we can make happen in the lives of others if we’d only pray for them. Your wonderful life is something to be thankful for, but there are people who are going through a lot of hurt for whom you must be moved to pray. Never become callous and unfeeling, to the point that you’re not moved by the conditions of the sinners and others who are suffering around you. Be like Jesus who the Bible says is touched with the feeling of our infirmities (Hebrews 4:15 KJVOpen in Logos Bible Software (if available)).

How To Pray
First of all, I ask you to pray for everyone. Ask God to help and bless them all, and tell God how thankful you are for each of them.
2 Pray for kings and others in power, so that we may live quiet and peaceful lives as we worship and honor God.
3 This kind of prayer is good, and it pleases God our Savior.
4 God wants everyone to be saved and to know the whole truth, which is,

Father, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray today for your children who are sick, displaced, hurting or experiencing any form of pain, that by your Spirit, and through the ministry of angels, help, succour and comfort will come to them. I pray that the faith, courage, and strength they need to come out victoriously be ministered to them in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
