THE WORRY-FREE LAND ;

TO THE BIBLE Hebrews 4:10Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)
“There remains, therefore, a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.”
Damien liked to worry over petty stuff; unimportant things that he could easily pray about and change with his words. He was always frantic, wishing each day would be over because his mind was continuously full of worry thoughts. He hadn’t read the scripture which said, “If you are tired from carrying heavy burdens, come to me and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28 CEVOpen in Logos Bible Software (if available)). When he did, his life became one of rest, nothing got him frantic anymore.
You too can live worry-free—like Damien—living in the rest that Jesus provided for you. This was God’s purpose and intent for mankind at the beginning. You’re meant to function from a position of rest; free from struggles, anxieties, turmoil, and hardships. No wonder Paul said in Philippians 4:6Open in Logos Bible Software (if available), “Be anxious for nothing…”; in other words, have no worries. If you’ve found yourself struggling through life, though you’ve been born again, you can change it.
God made you for His pleasure; that means He created you to be pleased and happy about you. That’s why He has also given you all things richly to enjoy (1 Timothy 6:17Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)). 2 Peter 1:3Open in Logos Bible Software (if available) tells us that He’s given you all things that are related to life and godliness; in other words, both spiritually and materially, you don’t lack anything; because He’s already given you ALL things! You weren’t born to suffer. The life He’s given you is an extraordinary life of success, from a position of rest. If you’ve been toiling, struggling and battling in life, embrace the Lord’s rest.

Do Not Worry
25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

3 For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said:
“So I swore in My wrath,
‘They shall not enter My rest,’ ”
although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
Dear Father, I thank you for creating me for your pleasure and for giving me an extraordinary life of success, from a position of rest. I function today with joy, in righteousness, dominion, and power; knowing that you’ve given me all that I need for life and for godliness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
