ENTIRE SANCTIFICATION
TEXT: DEUTERONOMY 30:6
BIBLE TEXT:
“And the Lord thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live” (Deuteronomy 30:6).
The American evangelist, R. W. Schambach, gave a graphic picture of sanctification. He explained that if a man is drowning in a deep mucky water, first you get him out of the dirty water. Secondly, you get the dirty water he has drunk out of him. According to him, getting the man out of the water is salvation, and pressing the dirty water out of him stands for sanctification. Indeed, sanctification is the second work of grace after salvation. It is like uprooting the tree of sin while salvation is like merely cutting down a tree which could easily grow up again. It is a definite Christian experience after salvation which purifies the heart of any believer who thirsts for it. It is also called heart circumcision. Anyone who receives this experience has grace to live a holy life within and without in this present evil world. Have you been sanctified? Are you now holy? If you are saved, take the next step and earnestly pray for the experience of sanctification. It is a glorious experience which makes following Jesus easy, interesting and fulfilling.
