When people attain some top positions in the society, they are accorded a lot of respect. They receive special attention and gifts from many who depend on them for certain favours, but the moment they leave office, their loyalists decamp to the new person in that position. Little wonder some people go to any length to remain in titled positions, and some who can’t manage loneliness eventually lose their minds.

I used to know a brother named Sam in my younger days; he was a terror to the kingdom of darkness. Though he was illiterate, he once preached in fluent English for one hour because the Holy Spirit gave him utterance. In fact, he also raised three dead persons back to life. Unfortunately after all his achievements, he allowed pride get into his heart, and he later ended up in an asylum.

Beloved, pride will drain anyone possessed by it, but when you retain God in your heart, He will make you relevant throughout your lifetime.

HYMN 5 – Take My Life And Let It Be

  1. Take my life and let it
    Consecrated Lord to Thee
    Take my moment and my days
    Let them flow ceaseless praise.
  2. Take my hands and let them move
    At the impulse of Thy love
    Take my feet and let them be
    Swift and beautiful for thee
  3. Take my voice and let me sing
    Always only for my king;
    Take my lips and let them be
    Filled with messages from Thee.
  4. Take my sliver and my gold
    Not a mite would I withhold
    Take my intellect, and use
    Every power as thou shalt choose.
  5. Take my will and make it Thine,
    It shall no longer mine:
    Take my heart, it is Thine own;
    It shall be Thy royal throne,
  6. Take my love, my Lord, I pour
    At Thy feet its treasure store;
    Take myself, and I will be
    Ever, only, all for thee
