The fact that, as Christians, we’re called to live our lives in the Name of Jesus is so awesome! You may want to ask, “What does it mean to live in the Name of Jesus?” Colossians 3:17Open in Logos Bible Software (if available) says, “And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus….” Doing all things in His Name, that’s what it means to live in the Name of Jesus. And that’s the way to live a supernatural life.
Everything in life is subject to the power and authority of the Name of Jesus; God gave a decree to that effect. He commanded all of nature—animate and inanimate, to hear and obey Jesus (Matthew 17:5Open in Logos Bible Software (if available)), so He has all authority in heaven and on earth. Living in the Name of Jesus therefore means you’re living for Him and in His authority. Hence, defeat, failure, and poverty can’t be a part of your life. Life for you is glorious all the way because the Name of Jesus is named upon you.
When you live with this consciousness, it’ll stir extraordinary boldness in your spirit, such that you’re totally unperturbed by any crisis! This is the glorious life we have in Christ! If you ever find yourself in a challenging situation, all you need to do is declare: “In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I decree a change! I command peace and
calmness,” and that’ll be it!

Dear Father, I thank you for giving me the Name of Jesus, to use and to live by. By the power and authority of that Name I declare that the lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places. I make progress with giant strides today; all of nature and everything that exists are working together in my favour, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
