Proverbs 31 is a passage written by a woman and it is a metric of what we should look out for when choosing a spouse.
Look for someone who has built themselves well enough to speak at the gate. Someone who is wise and someone of honour.
It also speaks to the quality of the person, the skills the person possesses, the excellence, and the person’s relationship with people.
A Proverbs 31 woman can be trusted, her price is far higher than rubies.

Before a man can get a virtuous woman, he must know what she looks like.
To be a Proverbs 31 woman as a woman you must live her lifestyle from how she handles her family to how she handles the poor around her. Do not pretend to be like her just to get a good man but make her model your lifestyle.
As a believer, with Christ in you, living such a lifestyle will be made possible.
Proverbs 31 woman is consistent. You can count on her. She is a woman of integrity. She is a light that gives direction and speaks wisdom.

It is about the Queen’s mother advising her daughter. And also advises her son about virtuous women. It is a contrast to the beginning of Proverbs. It speaks to adultery and advises woman to be a Godly woman.
It also speaks to the quality of a virtuous woman and enumerates everything a virtuous woman should look like. She doesn’t just slay, she prays.

The Proverbs 31 woman is an offshoot of the seed in her. If you do not have the qualities of the Proverbs 31 woman you cannot become her.
What makes you a Proverbs 31 woman is exhibiting the seeds in you. The virtue God has deposited in you.
A Proverbs 31 woman is a woman who fears the Lord. To be her you must fear the Lord. Don’t be influenced by what you see on social media.
The Proverbs 31 woman leans on the Lord and does not play to character rather she embodies the Godly virtuous woman qualities.
To become a Proverbs 31 woman you must be lost in the Lord.
The Proverbs 31 woman is a woman who is highly elevated. She was empowered by the Holy Spirit to do exceedingly well than her fellow women.

TWO THINGS SPOKEN TO MEN
1) As a king don’t waste your life chasing after women.
2) As a king don’t get drunk. It renders you powerless and irresponsible. And makes you lose control of your household.
A virtuous woman is not a lazy woman. She is fully involved in her family’s growth.
A virtuous woman does not compare herself with another woman. She is in her lane and she is a light impacting her world.
She is a blessing to her husband and her family. She is resourceful to her household beyond childbirth. Her husband depends on her and she never lets him down.

Proverbs 31 is not just in the context of a married woman but also a matter of the bride of Christ. Both male and female.
The true virtuousness of anyone is the ability to depart from iniquity. Your ability to depart from iniquity can bring you to a state of perfection.
Beyond looking at Proverbs 31 from the level of a woman, look at it from the perspective of a bride of Christ diligently handling the responsibility of Christ she is saddled with.
The qualities of the woman stated in Proverbs 31 are the qualities we should possess as a believer in Christ to bring to life the beauty in serving Christ.

Q1) There are people in our world today who are not believers and they have wisdom, how then is the fear of God the beginning of wisdom?

The wisdom of God is not the same as earthly wisdom and they operate at different dimensions. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. The scope of the wisdom of men speaks to the earthly needs of men. While God’s wisdom goes beyond all that and it is spiritually rooted. When you operate at the level of earthly wisdom, your thoughts are vague.

There are different types of wisdom but the wisdom of God is above all.

🎯The foolishness of God is wiser than the wisest of all men. As believers, Jesus is the full embodiment of wisdom and it supersedes all kinds of human wisdom.
Q2: I have been praying for wisdom for years now, yet I found myself doing some foolish things. Does that mean wisdom is difficult to get?
Pastor IK ANS: Wisdom won’t present itself to you that here it is. The problem is you are applying wisdom wrongly. You should seek counsel and study The Word of God to receive the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit can guide you through anything.
Pastor Michael ANS: As a believer, God has given you wisdom and he is Jesus Christ. Proverbs 1 vs2-3. Receiving instruction or wise counsel is wisdom. However, to enjoy the fruit of wisdom you must imbibe the culture of discipline and obey the instruction of wisdom.
Pastor Praise ANS: Wisdom is taught and the student listens. If you were taught but don’t listen you will lack wisdom. So, be a good student of the word of God.
Q3: If a prudent wife is from the Lord does that mean my wife is not from the Lord?
Pastor Praise ANS: If we have made an error we must have made a mistake somewhere because the Holy Spirit is not a confusionist. Don’t go deciding without consulting the authority above you and the Holy Spirit.
Pastor Michael ANS: Solution: It takes a prudent man to marry a prudent woman. Don’t label your wife. You are married to her, so if she is not prudent that means you are not prudent either. You need to display prudence to show her how to be prudent. You both need to work it out because you cannot divorce your wife because she is not prudent.
Dr. Solomon ANS: Turn to God for divine transformation. You can both go for counselling if she agrees to go.
Evang. Ebube ANS: Your wife might be a prudent wife but you couldn’t annex the prudence in her. You probably lack the ability to bring out the prudence in her. Change your mindset that you are married to the wrong woman else you won’t get the best out of her.
Question for Pastor IK
In Supremacy of God, about God steering the heart of men to help you at the appointed time as long it is in his will, does that mean God will steer the heart of your helper to help you at the appointed time because it is God’s will that you must receive that help at that time, even if you did not pray or ask for help?
Question 2: I know God’s will for us is good. But if God does as He pleases with our life, would it be accurate to say that, God deliberately makes us go through hard times sometimes to prepare us for a cause?

Whether you pray or not, as long as you are in the will of God He will always make provision for you.

God will not force you to do anything. The will of man is superior even to the will of God. However, whatever you experience after accepting the will of God or objecting to it is a result of your choice.
