THE LORD AND HIS LOVE
TEXT: JOHN 3:16
BIBLE TEXT:
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life†(John 3:16).
“Mama was my greatest teacher, a teacher of compassion, love and fearlessness. If love is sweet as a flower, then my mother is that sweet flower of love,†declared Stevie Wonder, emphasizing the love he had for his mother who meant everything for him. If a mother could be so loving as to attract such a comment from his son how much more God, the Author of love Himself? The love of God is awesomely inexplicable. The Almighty God exercised a great love towards sinful man by allowing His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to descend from heaven to earth in order to die for lost humanity. What does God require of you? Appreciate this great love. Accept His offer of love by accepting Jesus as Lord and Saviour. In practical terms, admit your sins, confess and forsake them. Ask for forgiveness and cleansing of your heart with the blood which Jesus shed for you on the cross of Calvary. Jesus has paid the price for your sins. You have no reason to remain a sinner to perish in hell.
Challenge: Accept the love of Christ.
Prayer: Lord, be merciful to me a sinner.
